The front twelve teeth, six top and six bottom.
What surface is towards the midline? And what teeth?
mesial. both anterior and posterior.
What is the midline?
the line between your two upper central incisor and your two lower central incisor
What surface is away from the midline? And what teeth?
distal. both anterior and posterior.
The “inside” surface toward the tongue is called? And what teeth?
lingual. both anterior and posterior.
The biting edge or ridge of anterior teeth?
incisal edge.
Proximal? And what surfaces?
Any surface between two teeth. Normally only mesial or distal surfaces.
Where and what is the maxillary arch?
Upper jaw. Little larger than the mandibula arch, so that in the normal condition the teeth in the maxilla slightly overlap those of the mandible both in front and at the sides.
Maxillary arch and lingual surfaces aka?
palatal surface
Maxillary arch aka?
superior or upper.
Where and what is the mandibular arch?
Lower jaw. Is smaller than the maxillary dental arcade , so that -in normal conditions- the teeth of the maxillae slightly overlap those of the mandible both in front and on the sides.
