Q

How do you find the density of a solid object

A

1)Use a balance to measure its mass
2) is its regular solid start by measuring its length width and height with a ruler
3) calculate the volume
4)You can find its volume by submerging it in a eureka can filled with water the water displaced by the object will be transferred to the measuring cylinder
5)Pluck the objects mass and volume into the formula to find the density

Q

How do you find the density of a liquid

A

1) Put a measuring cylinder on a balance and zero the balance
2) Put 10 mL of the liquid into the measuring cylinder and record the liquid mass
3)Put another 10 mils and repeat the process until the cylinder is full and record the total volume and mass each time
4)For each formula use the measurement to find the density
5)Take an average of your calculator densities
