Q

How can you measure the volume of an irregular shape?

A

Using a displacement can and measuring cylinder
Put object into displacement can with measuring cylinder at the nozzle
Water that is in the measuring cylinder is the same volume as object

Q

How do you calculate the density of a regular cube?

A

1)Measure length with and height of a steel cube
2)Calculate volume by doing lxwxh
3)Place steel cube on top of balance and measure it’s mass
4]Then use p=m/v to calculate its density
