There were baby booms after each world war. Now the birth rate is beginning to fall.

A
- After the war people decide to have children as they wouldn’t have wanted them during the war causing a baby boom.
- Now woman are wanting less children or later on in life as they would rather focus on their careers
- The abortion act in 1967 caused the birth rate to fall below death rate in 1977
- More accepted to not have children in a marriage
- There has been a massive reduction in infant mortality due to health care and education
