  • After the war people decide to have children as they wouldn’t have wanted them during the war causing a baby boom.
  • Now woman are wanting less children or later on in life as they would rather focus on their careers
  • The abortion act in 1967 caused the birth rate to fall below death rate in 1977
  • More accepted to not have children in a marriage
  • There has been a massive reduction in infant mortality due to health care and education
