Can you tell us about yourself?
My name is Ola Tang, and I went Metropolitan Tech. I became an accountant with Foreman, Lucas and Associates accounting firm.
How long did you work there for?
I worked for the business for seven years. Starting in 2015, I began to work in the Accounting Office at Metropolitan University.
Do you still work there?
No, I was let go from that position in a “restructuring” in the fall of 2021.
Now moving on, are you familiar with Jean Cote?
Yes. I did not have a good relationship with Jean Cote, the new Dean of Admissions. I always felt that Cote was a scoundrel. I still do.
Are you familiar with Frankie Solarki?
I don’t have a good working relationship with Frankie Solari. That has more to do with the fact that Metropolitan University was moving from a Division II school for athletics to Division I.
Did you express your disliking towards them?
I do not believe that the university has the resources to make this jump. Because I was not afraid to let both know this, I was let go.
Are you familiar with Ellis Kirwin?
Were Cousins by marriage. The kirwins are very wealthy.
Do you interact with Ellis a lot?
I can’t say that I have interacted socially much with Ellis over the years. Ellis is a very private person.
Did you interact after the accusations were made?
Yes I was approached by Ellis.
What contact do you have with the Kirwin family in general?
I had full access to Ellis’ financial records, and tax statements for the years 2015-2021. I personally prepared those taxes.
Do you think Ellis did anything wrong regarding her time as Dean of Admissions at Metropolitan University?
There was absolutely nothing in those years that would suggest that Ellis Kirwin was doing anything improper.
I can account for every cent that Ellis eared and spent.
Did you ever see Devon Morris at Metropolitan University?
I saw Devon Morris come into the offices on a regular basis.
At Metropolitan University, were there any donations coming in?
Yes , a lot.
What did the school do with the money?
The school got new buildings, opened up new schools of study. We built a new downtown area, with restaurants and retail stores, an those D1 sports I mentioned. It all seemed to be happening too fast.
Did you ever ask for a raise?
I had the nerve to ask for a raise once and was denied. And, yet I
was still being asked to oversee how the donations were allocated within the school.
