When should medical treatment for Alzheimer’s be commenced?
A
If MMSE is <20
- Moderate = 2nd gen ACh-i - Donepezil (rivastagmine)
- Moderate-severe = Memantine (NMDA antagonist)
- 1st gen Ach-i = Tacrine
