What is de Clérambault’s syndrome
Delusion where the patient believes someone is in love with them and that “eratomania”
What is capgras syndrome
A delusional misidentification syndrome
An ‘imposter’ is impersonating someone they know
Ie someone they know has been replaced by an identical double
Name this syndrome:
Psychotic depressive presentation with nihilistic delusions eg the patient has died or world ended
+ hypochondriacal delusions eg organs do not work
Cotard syndrome
Name this syndrome:
An imposter (someone they know of) is posing as random strangers and keeps changing appearance or wearing disguises
Fregoli syndrome
Explain:
Persecutory delusion
Delusion of reference
Grandiose delusions
Persecutory delusion - my life is being interfered with in a negative way
Delusion of reference- external events or situations have been arranged to convey a special message to the individual
Grandiose delusions - belief that the patient has special powers
