Quota
A quota limits the quantity of goods or class of products, which can be imported or exported in a country. It is a form of protectionism and used by governments to regulate trade, with the goal of protecting domestic markets and companies.
Acquisition
An acquisition is the process where one, usually larger company, buys a smaller company and they become one. This practis allows the initial larger company to create operating synergy.
Wage deflation
This term is used to describe the decline of wages in a certain industry or economy. It can be caused by migration, when low-wage workers enter a new market and offer their service for less, than this market usually pays.
Accommodation strategies
Are used when people from different countries and different levels of skill agree to use one language to communicate. Natural or high-skilled speakers use the accommodation strategies to ensure that their spoken word is appropirate for the context and understood by everyone.
Moderate investors
These investors are prepared to take a risk with a certain percentage of their investment to increase their potential return.
Adventurous investors
They are often open to taking bigger risks and are willing to accept larger, short-term swings in the market in order to achieve bigger and quicker growth rates.
Contrarian investors
They tend to be professional traders are not afraid of high investments in currently undervalued stock, with the expectation thats these will gain more value in the future, resulting in a high return on their investment.
