Weathering breaks big rocks into smaller rocks. These rocks break into soil, sand or sediment. There are three types of weathering: physical, chemical and biological weathering.

Erosion moves weathered rocks and soil to another place. Erosion is mainly by gravity, wind, ice, water/waves and wind.

Weathered rocks that drop off. The agents of deposition are gravity, wind and water. Water and wind can slow each agent down.
