Q

Purpose of Adverse Administration and Punitive Actions:

A
  • These management tools help instruct, correct, and improve those who depart from standards of performance, conduct, bearing, and integrity and whose actions degrade the individual and unit’s mission.
  • Administrative tools are corrective in nature, not punitive.
  • Punitive actions are also considered corrective tools, but in most cases, result in a permanent bad mark in the member’s service record
