Democracy
When most people have rights and they also get to choose government.
Constitution
The act or process of establishment and rules.
Separation Of Powers
The parliament make the laws. The executive carry out the laws and the Judiciary make sense of the law. The branches cannot influence each other.
Parliament
The place were many people get elected and decide on new rules.
Executive
People having administrative or supervisory authority. It puts the rules into place. They carry out the laws.
Police,schools,hospitals & water supply.
Federal
All of the states and territories together/combined.
Territory
A region or district, it is an area but it’s not a state.
Local Council
A group of many people that are elected to manage the affairs of a town, country or district rather that country or state. It is also the local parliament.
Judiciary
The judicial branch of government. They also make sense of the rules. They also decide what the rule means.
Referendum
A general vote by all the people of their countries. It also changes the constitution.
Majority Government
When party has at least more than half of the seats/members.
Minority Government
A government that has less amount of seats over the other party. They don’t have half the amount of seats.
Legislative
Make the laws.
