Democracy?
When the people have choice, rights and have the power to vote.
Constitution?
The set of rules that was written and is followed by the county.
Separation of Powers?
The parliament create the laws, the executive carry out the laws and the judiciary make sense of the laws and give out punishments. None are allowed to influence each other.
Parliament?
A meeting between elected people about public or national affairs. They also create and change the laws.
Executive?
Carry out the laws/ make them happen. Police, Schools, Hospitals.
Federal?
The government in which is in place for the country itself meaning all the counties united.
Territory?
An area of a that abides by its own laws that have been approved by their countries’ senate.
Local Council?
A government in a certain area made up of elected representatives.
Judiciary?
The courts in a country that judge on the rules and laws and give out punishments.
Referendum?
It is vote by everybody to change the constitution.
Majority Government?
It is when one party controls at more than half the seats in the parliament.
Minority Government?
It is when the party or government doesn’t have half the seats in the parliament.
