A group of delegates who met in Philadelphia to revise the Articles of Confederation
Legislative Branch
The House of Representatives and the Senate. They create laws. The laws are made, discussed and voted on
Executive Branch
The president and Vice President of the United States. They are the commander of the states and are commander of the army. The president also enforces laws.
Judicial Branch
The United States court system. Members are appointed to by the president and are confirmed by the senate. They decide whether or not the laws are constitutional or not.
Virginia Plan
A plan favoring the large states where representation is based on population
New Jersey Plan
A plan favoring the small states where every state gets one representative
