What is active euthanasia?
The direct act of a doctor/ individual to bring about an easy and painless death.
What is passive euthanasia?
When treatment that would help prolong life is withdrawn with the intention of ending a life.
What is voluntary euthanasia?
Ending life painlessly when someone in great pain asks for death. The person has full knowledge and gives their full consent.
What is non-voluntary euthanasia?
Ending life painlessly when someone is unable to ask but you believe it is in their best interest.
What is assisted suicide?
Providing a seriously ill person with the means to commit suicide when they are unable to take their own life.
Eg - due to paralysis
