The science of improving a population to increase the occurrence of desirable characteristics
Euthanasia
The painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease

German camps designed and built by Nazi Germany to systemically kill millions through extreme work under starvation conditions

Genocide
The deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular nation or ethnic group

A part of a city, especially a slum area, occupied by a minority group or groups

Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale; a Jewish sacrificial offering which was burnt completely on an altar
Liberation
The act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery or oppression

A violent riot aimed at massacre or persecution of an ethnic or religious group
Police state
A totalitarian state controlled by a political police force that secretly supervises the citizens’ activities

Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience
Racism
The belief that all members of each race possess certain characteristics or abilities specific to that race
Refugee
A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution or natural disaster
