What is life expectancy?
An indication of how long a person can expect to live for if the current death rates remain unchanged
What is mortality?
Refers to the deaths in the population
What is morbidity?
Refers to the ill-health in an individual or levels of ill-health in a population.
What is trend?
General movement or pattern in data
What is social development?
Refers to the social skills and behaviours that are learnt from a young age
What is intellectual development?
Refers to the ways in which you are able to think and reason
What is physical health?
Relates to the efficient functioning of the body and its systems and includes the physical capacity to perform tasks and physical fitness.
What is social health?
Being able to interact with others and participate in the community in both an independent and cooperative way.
What is mental health?
State of wellbeing in which the individual realises his or her abilities and can cope with normal stresses of life.
What is health?
Health is the state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease of infirmity.
