Knowledge derived through thought alone e.g. a triangle has 3 sides

- An argument where if all the premises are correct, the conclusion MUST be correct as well ,therefore it is analytically true e.g.
- All bachelors are unmarried
- Kevin is a bachelor
- Kevin doesn’t have a wife

An argument based on a collection of observations, on the basis that the pattern will repeat, though probabilistic e.g.
- The sun rises every morning
- It is morning
- The sun should rise
