Incident Command System
(ICS)
Any incident that disrupts the normal operations within a facility
Distrubance
A disturbance with uncontrolled violence by inmates, usually directed at the adistration
Riot
A physical attack from outside the facility or any other assault that creates physical damage to the correctional facility
Facility Assault
The commander of ICS may deploy specially-trained extraction teamstrained to handle violent and uncooprerative prison inmates in an assualt
Correctional Emergency Response Team
(CERT)
Is a resource used as a guide
Emergency Response Guidebook
(ERG)
An event or force of nature that has catastrophic, such as a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, flood, lighting, or wildfire
Natural Disaster
A consequence of technological or human hazards that brings great damage, loos, or destruction to the facility, such as chemical spills, a water main breaking, a plane crash, a train deraliment, or a fire
Human-Instigated Diaster
Is any threat of an explosive device, whether mechanical, incendiary, or chemical
Bomb Threat
