reflexive verbs
A verb which has a self-referential pronoun, either next to or attached to it.
infinitive
A verb that has not been conjugated and ends in -ar,-er, or -ir.
affirmative informal command
To tell someone you address as tú to do something.
negative informal commands
To tell someone not to do something.
preterite -ar verbs
Combine the verb’s stem with the standard
-ar preterite endings, which depend on subject pronoun.
imperfect past tense
Used when describing a habitual, repeating, progressive, or continuous action in the past.
comparative form
When you compare to or more things with each other.
superlative form
The highest comparative form.
simple future tense
The form of a verb that expresses what will happen after the present.
future perfect
Used to talk about actions that will be finished at a particular point in the future.
