A

Equipment or materials which has a label, symbol, or other identifying mark of an org acceptable to AHJ concerned with product evals - and maintains inspections of equipment and material production - and by whose labeling the manu indicated compliance with standards or performance in specified manner.

A

Equip, materials, or services included in a list published by an org acceptable to AHJ and concerned with evals of products or services, that inspects production of listed equip or materials or evaluates services - and whose listing states equip, material, or services meets standards or has been tested and found suitable for a specific purpose.

Standard

A

An NFPA Standard, whose main text contains only mandatory provisions using “Shall” to show requirements and in a form suitable for mandatory reference by another code or standard or law. Non mandatory provisions are not part of standard and shall be in appendix, annex, footnote, info note, or other means permitted by NFPA Style Manual.

When used in general way (I.e. “standards development process”) “Standards” includes all NFPA standards including Codes, Standards, recommended practices, and guides
