Position

Attitude
Relationship of the fetal body parts to each other; may be flexed, deflexed or extended
Lie
Relationship of the long axis (spine) of the fetus to the long axis (spine) of the mother; lie may be longitudinal (vertical), horizontal (transverse) or oblique (diagonal)
Station
Relationship of the presenting part to an imaginary line drawn between the ischial spines of the pelvis. It is a measure of the degree of descent of the fetus through the pelvis.
