Fee that pays the playwright for their creativity and work

A work that is completely free for anyone to use in any way

The right to license your play into different markets
Property
A play that a producer buys the rights to launch a production
Inciting Incident
Event that hooks viewer into story and sets everything else into motion
Exposition
Usually near beginning; characters are introduced, status-quo is set; the set-up
Foreshadowing
Clues given about upcoming events in the play
Complications
Factors that add difficulty to the plot or conflict in the play
Climax
The point of highest drama or tension; turning point
Didaskolos
Greek word for “teacher”
Producer
The one who provides money, finds & buys property, hires director, etc.
Emotional Memory
When the actor finds personal experience where they felt a similar emotion to which that demanded by the role they’re playing
