A condition that presents with involuntary movements combined with instability of posture
Bradykinesia
Movement that is very slow
Chorea
Movements that are sudden, random, and involuntary
Dysmetria
The inability to control the range of movement and the force of muscular activity
Dystonia
Sustained muscle contraction that causes twisting, abnormal posture, and repetitive movements
Fasciculation
A muscular twitch caused by random discharge of a lower motor neuron and its fibers
Hemiballism
Involuntary and violent movement of a large body part
Kinesthesia
The ability to percieve the direction and extent of movement of a joint or body part
Rigidity
A state of severe hypertonicity where a sustained muscle contraction does not allow for any movement at a specific joint
Tremor
Involuntary, rhythmic, oscillatory movements secondary to a basal ganglia lesion
Barognosis
Ability to percieve the weight of different objects in the hand
Graphesthesia
Ability to identify a number or letter drawn on the skin without visual input

Agraphia
The inability to write due to a lesson within the brain
Anosognosia
The denial or unawareness of one’s illness
Apraxia
The inability to perform purposeful learned movements or activities even though there’s no sensory or motor impairments
Decerebrate rigidity
Extension of the trunk and all extremities
Decorticate rigidity
Trunk and lower extremities are in extension while the upper extremities are in flexion
Diplopia
Double vision
