Why does God say that great pain will be brought upon eve in childbirth and why will Adam rule over her?
A
It could be a natural consequence of the fall, akin to Adam needing to work hard and overcome the weeds and thistles of the earth to eat bread.
For Adam ruling over Eve—I don’t know. It could be since Eve was the one to first transgress, or something else. Who knows? It doesn’t say that this necessarily extends to later relationships.
