Section 9 - Correction
Orders the defendant to publish a suitable correction and apology, and ban the defendant from publishing or further publishing the material
Absolute Privilege
Reporting of court cases, a fair and accurate report of judicial proceedings held in public in a court anywhere in the world, published contemporaneously
Section 14(2) - Contemporaneously
A story is treated as if it were published contemporaneously if it is published ‘as soon as practicable after publication is permitted’
Section 1 - author
Applies to anyone who was not the author, editor or publisher of the statement complained of
Qualified privilege
Defense requirements - Must be fair and accurate, published without malice and must be a matter of public interest.
