When a Claim form is deemed served

On the second business day after the completion of the relevant step (CPR 6.26)

When a POC and other documents is deemed served

INSTANT METHODS

If done before 4.30pm on a business day: deemed served same day

NOT INSTANT
Deemed served second day after posting/giving to DX provider if a business day.

Otherwise( as in weekend): deemed served the next business day

If CF is served with POC

Answer 3

AS needs to be filed within 14 days after service of the CF

If CF is served and POC follow later,

Answer 4

AS needs to be filed within 14 days after service of the POC. CPR 10.3

If D acknowledges service indicating intention to defend

This will extend the period for filing the defence to 28 days from the DDS of the POC

Cf is served with POC, assuming AS is filed
