What is the management of decreased fetal movements?
A
- Eductate mother on decreased fetal movements
- Provide written material as back up
- Women are to contact AAU /MGP midwives if concerned
- All telephone calls to be recorded on AKMR9

Describe the assessment of decreased fetal movements?
A
- Note history - meds, habits, age, medical disorders, hx of previous pregnancies.
- Baseline obs -T, P, R, BP, SpO2 UA
- Palp and measure
- FHR - CTG if >28 weeks
- Give food and drink
- if reactive with normal movement noted - home
- if risk factors present urgent ultrasound for fetal weight, growth and activity, Amniotic fluid index, umbilical artery and fetal morphology

If decreased fetal movements are not resolved by food and CTG what can be done next?
A
Consultant review urgent Fetal biophysical profile assessment for concealed APH If after 37 weeks consider IOL Take cord blood after delivery
