Q

What are the steps when attaching portable oxygen?

A

Wear it like a sling ensuring the gauge is facing upwards.
Check pressure is at 1500psi
Check there is 4litres
Remove face mask from pouch
Twist anti clockwise to turn oxygen on
Pinch the top of the bag to see if it slightly inflate to check oxygen is working.
Place mask on nose and mouth and adjust strap.

Q

What is CAT ?

A

Clear air turbulence. Air pockets, undetectable by any radar and not visible to the eye.

17
Q

Examples of anticipated turbulence

A

Weather forecast
Onboard radar
Reports from an aircraft flying ahead
