Destroy the Nest?

A

Destroyed when there are no more Eggs in it.

Eggs can be picked up (Room Action) or destroyed.

Destroying Eggs:

Regular attack, except 5/6 chance to hit and Melee gives no penalties. 1 Injury = 1 Egg.
Grenade (2 Eggs), Molotov (1 Egg)
Fire in Nest kills 1 Egg during Event Phase.

After every attempt to destroy en Egg, make a Noise Roll.

When Nest is destroyed, place a Injury marker on it.

Resolve an Encounter?

  1. Discard all Noise Tokens in connected corridors
  2. Draw from Intruder Bag
  3. Place corresponding Intruder
  4. Token number > Cards in trigged player’s had = Surprise Attack
  5. Dont return token!

* Place Noise Token in all connected corridors
* Return token. If this is the only token in bag, add Adult Token (if possible)

SCANNING (2 procedures)

A

I posted this summary a few years ago, in case it helps. Big picture, there is a difference between resting and medically operating on yourself, which accounts for there being two distinct methods for purging infected vs non-infected Contamination cards from your deck:

Rest / Canteen / Shower Room
1. Scan all Contamination cards in your hand
2. Remove any cards that are not INFECTED
3. Keep any cards that are INFECTED
4. If 1 or more of the scanned cards were INFECTED:
4a) If you already have a Larva on your board, you die - spawn a Creeper
4b) If you do not have a Larva on your board, place a Larva on your Character board
5) Room benefits:
5a) Canteen: Heal 1 Light Wound
5b) Shower Room: remove Slime

Surgery / Antidote
1. Scan all Contamination cards in your Action deck (hand, draw pile, and discard pile)
2. Remove any cards that are INFECTED
3. Keep any cards that are not INFECTED
4. If you have a Larva on your Character board, remove it
5. Room/card consequence:
5a) Surgery: take 1 Light Wound
5b) Antidote: draw 1 contamination card
6. Shuffle your Action deck (if using Antidote, keep your hand)
7. Pass
