Explain the function of the Lee helm on the ships control Console.
It is the bridge control unit mounted in the ships control Console. The primary purpose is throttle control of the gas turbine main engines when throttle control has been shifted from the PACC to the bridge.
Explain the function of the ships helm on the Ships Control Console.
The ships helm is the primary steering station. It is used for controlling the port and starboard Rudders.
Explain the function of the Alarm panel on the ships control Console.
Flashing light and audible alarm indicates loss of steering.
Explain the function of the Auto pilot on the ships control Console.
Automatic steering control panel. It is used to input steering commands when operation is in the computer assisted auto mode. The panel is arranged into four functional areas.

Best fuel gives the lowest gain, intermediate, Best handle gives the highest gain.

can be set from 2° to 35°.

What are the boat crew personnel assignments?
Coxswain , boat officer, engineer, bow hook.
Coxswain
The Coxswain is overall in charge of the boat and enlisted crew. He or she is also the senior enlisted by positional authority
Boat officer
The boat officer has authority over the boat coxswain and navigational areas.
Engineer
Engineer ask as Stern hook, aft lookout, and assists with the deployment and recovering of the SAR swimmer. Also make sure the boat engine runs properly.
Bow hook
The bow hook is the coxswain’s assistant. They serve as a FWD lookout, assist in the deployment and a covering of the SAR swimmer, and conduct various seamanship tasks such as casting off lines, and aid in bringing the boat alongside.
