A painting by Bartolomeo Montagna was on show in the Vicenza Gallery. It is not part of the permanent collection, but is a loan from a private collection, made to commemorate the life of a member of the owners’ family, as well as the five hundredth anniversary of the painter’s death.

I once went to Venice and saw a exhibition of paintings by Tintoretto. This was an exhibition commemorative of the five hundredth anniversary of the painters death. Tintoretto died in 1518. Therefore it was surprising to me to realise that this visit must have been five years ago.
