(a lot of sodium floating around so we want to give 0.45 sodium chloride to guide it back into the cell)

I will stop smoking, I will stop eating fried foods, and exercise more.

Vasodilator(it allows for more oxygen to enter the heart)

Side effects include getting a headache.
Nursing action: Assessing client potassium level.
Therapeutic Range: 3.5 – 5.0 mEq/L Contact the provider if potassium is too low, or too high.
Nursing action: Assessment & f/u pre-op client labs:
Look at the platelet count
Nurse instruction: Client receiving extended-release potassium.
Don’t crush it(take it whole).
