Offensive Actions are combat operations conducted to defeat and destroy enemy forces and seize terrain, resources and population center.

4 Characteristics: C A P S Concentration Audacity Rapid Tempo Surprise
Movement to Contact
Has 2 forms that are designed to develop the situation and to establish or regain contact
Attack
Has six forms that destroys or defeats enemy forces to seize or secure terrain or both.
Pursuit
Is an offensive task designed to catch or cut off a hostile force attempting to escape, with the aim of destroying it.
Exploitation
is an offensive task that usually follows the conduct of a successful task and is designed to disorganize the enemy.
Concentration
Massing of overwhelming effects of combat power to achieve a single purpose
Audacity
Boldly executing a simple plan of action
Rapid Tempo
Is Controlling or altering tempo to retain the initiative
Surprise
Attacking the enemy when they are not expecting and are not prepared for attack.
