What do Decision logs provide
A
Accurate ‘at the time’ record of significant decisions made.
Audit trail of decisions and reasons for making them at the time.
Record of new info or changes in situations.
Record of risk critical info from other services.
A way of helping handover between commander’s.

Definition of a decision.
A
Anything that could be construed as having chosen a course of action that could affect the outcome of an incident in a positive or negative way.
Not designed to record every decision but if there is uncertainty over how it may turn out then it should be recorded.
If don’t do it you cannot learn from it
