Why is deception detection necessary?
Knowledge of the truth is an essential requirement for the administration of criminal justice.
Enumerate methods of deception detection.

How does a polygraph work?
The fear of the subject when not telling the truth activates the sympathetic nervous system to a series of automatic and involuntary physiological changes which are recorded by the instrument.
What are the three phases of examination in a polygraph examination?
(1) Pre-test
(2) Actual interrogation and recording
(3) Post-test interview
How do you say that a person in lying in a polygraph test?
If the person is lying, he has more reaction on relevant questions. If he is not lying, he has more reaction to control questions.
