After life / Life after death
The existence of a life after death in some way
Immediate life after death
When we die we will immediately be sent to our after life.
Delayed life after death
When we die we will wait until Jesus will judge us all together
Particular judgement
Getting judged on our individual acts
Final judgment
We are all judged together
Embodied life after death
We will have some kind of physical form when we die (bodily sensations)
Disembodied life after death
We will not have a physical body either spiritual or soul

The second coming of Jesus after he died on the cross - came as physical so embodied after life

Coming back to life in some way like Jesus

His disciples don’t recognise him and tell him about Jesus. Highlights that it may be a physical body but in a way that we do not know.

a place where we will be punished for eternity in some way

An existence away from God forever

A place where we will wait to atone for sins before entering heaven
Purposive punishment
Punishment to remove action to redeem yourself however hell cannot do this as it is eternal
Judgement
We will be judged for our lives on earth and that will determine our futures in the afterlife

Parable about doing good things for no reward - going out your way to help
Salvation by merit
We will be rewarded with heaven depending on our earthly actions
