Resurrection
The body coming back to life after death. Jesus has already been resurrected.
Heaven
Being with God after death. People who accept Gods grace and forgiveness will have eternal life there.
Hell
Spending the afterlife away from God. People who have freely chosen to reject God will be here.
Judgement
God will look at the actions of every person when they have died and decide how they will spend the afterlife.
Soul
The eternal part of a person. You have a soul at conception and it lives on after the body dies.
Gospels
The four accounts Jesus’ life.
Purgatory
A place to get rid of sins after death.
Palliative care
Care that does not try to cure, instead it tries to relieve pain.
Death
The end of physical life. When the body stops function.
Eternal life
Life in heaven after death. Jesus says to have eternal life you must live how God want you to.
Hospice
A home for the terminally ill. Provides people with palliative care.
Rite
A ceremony with fixed rules using well known symbols and prayers.
Dignity
Being worthy of respect.
Quality of life
How pleasurable and meaningful a life is.
Euthanasia
Ending a life early by using or taking away medication.
