They didn’t directly refer to life after death but there were hints to say that you were going to be with family and loved ones

They will then go to purgatory to work off their sins

You go straight to hell if you are very bad, if you aren’t very bad you go to purgatory then heaven, a place with no sadness

Death cannot hurt/ be bad, because you and death aren’t ever there at the same time but what happens before can be painful
