Essay: Define flexion and extension and the exception of this.

A

Flexion if a joint decreases the angle in the joint from the body in an anatomical position. Extension is when the joint returns to the anatomical position or increased the angle. Most Flexion takes place in a forward direction. The exception to this is the leg where flexion of a leg results in bending of the knee. (44. WKST - The Muscular System)
