Workup for:

throbbing one sideed headache lasting 3 hours with aura, minuetes of weakness/numbness, n/v.

A

CBC- infection: meningitis
ESR - inflammation: temporal arteritis, vasculitis.
CT- Space occupying lesion: intercranial neoplasm
MRI - Intercranial neoplasm
LP- Lipid pannel, stroke

A

episodic, recurrent painful paroxysm of moderate to severe throbbing pain, unilateral, from 4-72 hours. with or without aura, n/v, more common in females,
Risk: fam hx, gender, meds, hormones, diet.

Cluster Headache

Risks:

A

Primary HA, multiple attack, excruciating, unilateral, sharp stabbing pain, periorbital area/temple with ipsilateral autionomic disfucntion:
tearing, eye readness, nasal congestion, ptosis, miossis.
Wakes patient.
15-180min
Risks: Male, smokeing, Clinical dx
