Slave leader of the Haitian revolution. Was born a slave and led the slave rebels to victory over the French British and spanish. Was betrayed by napoleon and died in prison in the French alps.
Jean-Jacques Dessalines
Toussaints right hand man, took power after he was captured and killed. Wanted to reinstate slavery and was assassinated.

Races in spanish america. Race Cards given to birth that showed what social class you where in. Race cards could be bough illegally with money.
