In early June the devise was altered to make Jane the heir

Edward died, but his death was kept quite for 2 days

Mary started to raise an army
10th July 1553:
Jane was proclaimed queen but Mary had also proclaimed herself queen in East Anglia: she issued proclamations
End of July 1553:
When Mary entered London she was greeted with enthusiasm
22 August 1553:
Northumberland was executed on 22 August despite his renunciation of Protestantism
