Able to be proven or checked
Relevant
Closely connected or appropriate to the matter in hand
Timely
Done at a proper, favourable time
Flexible
Able to be adapted (changed) or varied
Database
Collection of relevant/related data
Flat file database
Database that stores all data in a single table with no links to any other table or file
Field
A heading-category in which data is stored eg surname, date
Record
Set of data about an event, person or thing, each record has the same set of fields eg firstname, surname, age, address
Sort
To arrange information in a particular order
Criteria
A condition used for comparison or judgement eg, sex, F
Filter
To restrict/reduce a list of results based on a particular criteria
