Univariable Charts
help visualize a change in one variable
Bar graph
Comapres an amount between different categories
Histogram
Measure the distribution of a variable, very similar to a bar graph
Density Curve
Visualizes a distrubution without putting data into bins
Box-plot
Make percentile and quartile values obvious
Univariable Map
A map where the only variable is geographic
Multivariable Charts
Show the relationships between two or more variables
Scatter Plot
One variable on the x-axis, another on the y-axis, only makes sense for numerical variables
Line Chart
Measures a variables change over time
Bivariate Map
Shows a basic geographical map plus an aditional variable
Aesthetic Properties used to communicate data visually
