Calculating the Mean
number of numbers
Validity
Same as Accuracy - How close to a number or result the answer is
Reliability
Same as Precision - how close the answers were
Accuracy
Same as Validity - How close a number is to a result
Precision
Same as Reliability - How close results are to eachother
Extrapolate
Predictions made from outside the Upper pole and the lower pole of the data
Interpolate
Predictions made from inside the Upper pole and the lower pole of the data
Linear Trend
The data trend is moving upwards or downwards in a straight line
Non-linear
The data trend is moving up and down
No trend
There is no trend
Standard Deviation
Start by finding the average of the data (x bar) then take the mean from each data point and square it. Add all the points up and take one away from the number of bits of data. Square root and you will get the answer
Standard Error
square root of sample size
