What is the freedom of information act 2000
Creates a public right of access to information held by public authorities
Must supply within 20 days (for a fee)

Files must be kept for a minimum of 6 years after they expire as legal action must be brought within 6 years of issue arising
How do you validate information
By checking against original documents that are stored on document management systems.
These systems are firewall and password protected
What is the difference between a deed and a registered title
Deed is a written legal documents where as registered title is registered electronically on land registry
