What is dat logging used for?
A
It is used in schools for science experiments

How does it work?
A
- Sensors automatically collect dat readings over a set amount of time called a logging period. the time between each logging is called a logging interval.
- Data from the sensors is sent to computers and the computer then allows an analysis of the data collected using calculations.

Give an advantage of data logging
A
It is more accurate because people can’t make mistakes like forget to take readings.

What is a disadvantage of data logging
A
The hardware can be expensive and there is the danger that the equipment can go all wrong

describe and explain one type of sensor of data logging
A
Temperature- for logging how long it takes a liquid to cool

List and describe the other sensors they have
A
Light- For measuring how different light levels affect the plant growth
PI- Passive infra-red to detect movement (also used in security systems)
Pressure- Mesures something pushing
Sound- Measures the volume that is being made
