A

Data which has been processed by the computer. It has context which makes it meaningful

Car 1 - 40mph
Car 2 - 45mph
Car 3 - 37mph

A

Derived from information by applying rules to it, using information to make decisions.

Car number 2 in the fastest in the race.

Explain the relationships between Data, information & knowledge.

A

Data has potential meaning because it represents events, amounts, individuals etc.

Information adds context to the data. This information will need to be processed into a form that is easy to understand.

People with knowledge of the context of the information will then be able to draw conclusions, make decisions, identify problems etc.
