What is encoding data
Encoding means putting the data into a code and reducing it’s size
What is meant by a check digit
Digits that are added to important numbers, which are placed at the end of the block numbers and are used to check the numbers have been entered correctly into the computer
What are validation checks
Checks a developer of a solution sets/crests, using the software in order to restrict the data that a user can enter, so as to reduce errors

Data validation technique which cheeks that the data input to a computer is within a certain range
