What is data?
Data is an individual unit that contains raw materials which do not carry any specific meaning.
What is information?
Information is a group of data that collectively carries a logical meaning.
What is knowledge?
the ability to use information, for example, form judgements and make decisions.
What is wisdom?
the ability to use the knowledge to preform an action.
Advantages of data
- easy analysis
- consistency
- efficient data processing and integration
Disadvantages of data
-limited flexibility
-data entry requirements

Advantages of information
-improved communication
-increased productivity
-enhanced decision-making
-streamlined processes
What is IOT(Internet of things)?
A collection of smart devices which can connect to each other and exchange data using the internet.
All smart devices have 4 different components
-Sensors
-Connectivity
-Data processing
-user interface (UI)
What is transactional data
Data about transactions for an organisation.
What is a sensor?
A device that detects the change in the environment and responds to some output on the other system
What is data processing?
Data processing is the series of operations performed on data to transform, analyse, and organize it into a useful format for further use.
What does connectivity do?
It enables the connected entities to seamlessly communicate, transfer data, and access shared resources.
